What was the MLK truck salesman thinking?

Millions of Americans tuning into the Super Bowl Sunday cringed as the image of a Ram’s truck splashed across the screens of their televisions to the backdrop of a speech by the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The commercial’s insensitive and, frankly, absurd audio-track choice, considering King’s speech was slamming American advertisers, burned “Ram Trucks” into the viewers’ brains, for all the wrong reasons.

Host Chip Franklin, Nikki Medoro and Heather Hamann weighed in on the ad (watch above), debated on what should be “off limits” when selling products and reflected on some equally humiliating commercials.
