The gun law debate has been closely intertwined with the outbreak of deadly school shootings across the country. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much headway when it comes to the two sides working together to reach a solution to prevent future tragedies. The standstill prompted host Nikki Medoro to take a look at other potential contributing factors that could be causing children to act out violently, including social media, underpaid teachers, divorced parents, bullying and crowded classrooms.
She consulted Katherine Reynolds Lewis, a journalist who dedicated her latest book to the topic, to find out which circumstances she believed were of greatest influence when it came to kids’ inability to regulate their emotions. Her conclusions are based off of hundreds of scientific studies!
