“It’s like we are five-year-olds playing in the backyard.” – Ethan Bearman, KGO810 Host
Trump’s vision for a “Space Force,” first brought to the public’s attention in March, is in the works of becoming a reality as soon as 2020.
Vice President Mike Pence delivered the news this morning that the endeavor would take the form of a new sixth “separate but equal” military branch. Shortly thereafter, the Department of Defense unveiled their plan of action detailing the initial steps that will need to be ticked off.
Host Ethan Bearman, although an admitted fan of the extraterrestrial as a child, couldn’t mirror Trump’s enthusiasm for the Space Force.
Space Force all the way!

To him, it is a waste of time, money and resembles a scenario created by “five-year-olds playing in the backyard.” As Bearman pointed out, under Trump’s approval the military budget has skyrocketed to an all-time high of $700 billion, why spend more?
Bernie Sanders was in agreement with Bearman that government funds should be directed elsewhere:
Maybe, just maybe, we should make sure our people are not dying because they lack health insurance before we start spending billions to militarize outer space. #SpaceForce

The viewpoint also proved to be popular amongst others on Twitter:
On the one hand, Space Force is a foolish idea that solves no actual problems, but on the other hand, it's a great way to transfer taxpayer money to defense contractors

Instead of Space Force, how about Cybersecurity Force that protects the US from another Russian attack?
