This week we host an author who is taking his documentary film making and interview skills into book form with ‘Silicon City: San Francisco in the Long Shadow of the Valley‘ by Cary McClelland.
‘Silicon City’ is a book of interviews – providing more than 100 angles on a story that can seem overwhelming. A zeitgeist that feels almost suffocating in its complexity – and in the decades it took for our society to land in this spot.
If you live outside of the Bay Area, don’t trip on the title. These are cautionary tales and tales of strategy that scan for the entire country.
Tech is everywhere, of course, it’s just that the wave usually crashes over the Bay first, usually.
