Ronn Owens Report: Survey finds One Third of Americans Consider Living Abroad

“From our survey, it’s more of a social network story. The more people you know that have lived abroad, the more social connections you have to learning more information and sparking an interest in that yourself,”

-Dr. Helen Marrow

Ronn talked with Dr. Helen Marrow of Tufts University about a study she did answering the question: Do you ever seriously consider moving abroad?┬áRoughly one third of respondents actually said yes. You would think from that big a number that it would be political dissatisfaction with President Trump fueling that desire, but that’s not the case. The main reason people consider becoming an ex-pat is the simple desire to explore the world. Surprisingly, whether a person identifies as liberal or conservative had no correlation to their hopes of moving overseas.
