President Trump visited the southern border in El Paso, Texas last night where he held a rally promoting his candidacy for 2020, as well as using the border city to reinforce his push for a border wall. Before heading to Texas, he tweeted about his arrival.

Trump arrived to a sea of people, almost all sporting red MAGA hats and signs stating “Build the wall! Finish the wall!”. Behind his podium, a huge American flag hung between two smaller signs stating “FINISH THE WALL”. Before beginning his speech, the crowd bursted out chanting, “USA! USA! USA!”.

In his speech, the 45th President of the United States reiterated many of the same points he has made in the past. He begun by telling the crowd that they have begun construction on the wall at the Rio Grande. He celebrated and promoted the creation of jobs, America’s booming economy, his relationship with Kim Jong Un, amongst other things. The President did not address the proposed deal made by Congress for the border wall and said that he chose to be at the rally rather than attend a debriefing on the situation.

President Donald Trump also spoke about the Mueller investigation and claimed that a conclusion had been drawn. “They’ve been investigating this Russia hoax for two years… Richard just announced that they found no collusion between Donald Trump and Russia. The fact is that the real collusion was between Hillary and the Democrats with Russia,” AP Fact Check said this statement wasn’t entirely true and that while there was no evidence, they investigation has not concluded.
