Pat has been on KGO since 2007 and began hosting her own show in September 2009. She has had a long career in broadcasting since her days in the United States Army, when she hosted a television show.

Thurston was raised in the East Bay in a family of eight children. She left California to work for the Secret Service, attended Indiana University/Purdue University and returned to Northern California and was married in 2002. She now lives in Marin County with her husband and 7-year-old triplets.

On her gig at KGO, Pat says: "I love talk radio. It not only allows for an exchange of ideas, but debate and conversation. It gives me the impetus to stay informed."
