Mark Spoonauer, the editor-in-chief of Tom’s Guide, set out on a mission to determine the most durable phone on the market. He and his team took approximately $18,000 worth of phones, including top sellers like the iPhone X and Google Pixel 2 XL, and proceeded to “cause as much disruption as possible.”
A series of tests that involved a “drop bot,” toilet bowl and a variety of destructive surfaces, such as concrete, determined a total of 12 phones’ rankings on a ten-point scale. Spoonauer joined host Michael Finney for a recap of the experiment!
