Chip and Nikki talk to Kate Delaney from NBC Sports about California’s new law allowing NCAA athletes to make money and how the NCAA may retaliate against California colleges and universities.
It’s ridiculous that these colleges make billions of dollars, and these athletes can’t even afford to go to Starbucks. Then, they work so many hours for that university, and most of them don’t even go pro like, 3%. Unless you are a tremendous athlete, unless you are going to have that great big payday and you don’t have any injuries, because that’s the other part of it, then you are really kind of on your own island. You’re stuck.
