Health care workers across the county have started to receive the coronavirus vaccine. ABC’s Aaron Katersky brings Nikki Medoro the latest updates on Tuesday morning.
Governor Gavin Newsom supported Nurse Helen Cordova as she received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in Los Angeles, Monday. The vaccine comes after the nation’s death toll hit a new record of 300,000 people.
“The plan was always anticipating this kind of time line…A general population vaccine is probably still in the March or April time frame,” Aaron Katersky told Nikki in regards to the public’s questions about vaccine timelines.
The Food and Drug Administration said Moderna’s vaccine for coronavirus appears safe and effective.
