Nikki Medoro speaks with ABC Correspondent Jim Ryan Monday morning to discuss Joe Biden’s push to raise minimum wage to $15. But, is $15 enough to survive?
Nikki expressed her thoughts on Twitter by retweeting a comparison between minimum wage and typical inflation in 2025.
The $7.25 minimum wage, enacted 11.5 years ago, has the same buying power as $5.99 now.
Based on typical inflation, the $15 min wage in 2025 will have the same buying power as $13.90 does now. The difference amounts to $2,300 less per year. https://t.co/BMlNXvalZ9

“No one in America should be working 40 hours a week and living below the poverty level. No one. No one.” Said Joe Biden.
It’s long past time to raise the minimum wage, so hardworking people earn at least $15 an hour.
I hope that Democratic control of the House and Senate will ensure prompt action to get it done.
