Twitter founder Jack Dorsey is quitting the company’s board of directors.
Dorsey, who helped create Twitter in 2006 and stepped down as CEO last year, plans to leave after the “2022 meeting of stockholders”.
The company says Dorsey’s departure has been in place since November, well before Elon Musk’s bid to buy the company for $44 billion.
Dorsey has been critical of his company’s leadership – just last month he tweeted that Twitter’s board has “consistently been the dysfunction of the company”.
